Tropical North QLD Must Do’s in 2016

I don’t have my normal New Year’s Resolution Post to share this year, but I did like this one if you need a bit of help.  I just don’t seem to have my ‘organisation’ mode kicking in just yet, but I do have a few lists (you all know I love a good list) happening so I’d thought I’d share those on the blog for now.  First though, here’s a collage of our #2015bestnine photos from our adventures last year which we shared over on our instagram account – it was interesting to see a good mix of our family life make the top nine photos!

If you want to see your or even someone else’s #2015bestnine just head to http://2015bestnine.com/ and pop in the instagram username – too easy and a bit of fun!  Oh and you can search the hashtag #2015bestnine to see a heap of terrific photo collages from 2015!IMG_1122

Oh and the Blue Sky Produce #2015bestnine too!blueskyproduce_full

Okay – now to focus on 2016!  The first and most fun list I came up with last week, was the list of twelve little adventures – one for each month of 2016 – that I’d love to have our family make the time for this year.

When we first decided to become ‘mango farmers’ one of the things I really wanted to make sure we tried to do, was keep a little balance in our lives and not let the farm consume us as, can easily happen in everybody’s lives – but especially on farms where often it can be weeks between getting off the place and out into the world.  Last year, between the kid’s activities, the farm and school stuff – we didn’t get out and about as much as we would have liked.  So this year – I’ve put together a list of some of the awesome local stuff we’d really like to do and I’m hoping that we will have ticked them off by the end of the year!

So – in no particular order – I’m hoping we just squeeze in one thing a month – here’s our list of the ‘Must Do’s in beautiful tropical north queensland in 2016!  I’ve mixed it up between some free stuff and some things that cost $$$’s, along with some whole day trips and some easy afternoon/morning activities .  Also having to keep in mind that we still have a nearly two year old in the mix to limit some of our activities. There is so much to do up here that it was really hard to stick to just twelve things!  Oh well – plenty more for next year!

  1. Great List Jess & I don’t think you’re asking for much. After all you did get up to plenty in 2015 & ran a farm in the middle of it all……& blogged & raised 4 kids etc etc. You Definitely need to do them all I reckon & I look forward to seeing the pics etc etc afterwards. You’ve introduced me to a new ‘must do’ spot too….McKenzie Falls….that’s on my list now 😀
